Global Intercession & Prayer for the Persecuted Church, or GIPPC (pronounced “Gee Pic”), was birthed because of a deep sense of the need for even more global prayer and intercession for the Church, in the midst of all the turmoil and uncertainty in our world today. As we experience increasing signs of the last days, we see the need to get ourselves and others around us prepared and ready for the Day of the LORD.
Many brothers and sisters in Christ around the world are being tested and pruned to shine for our LORD as they face trials of many kinds. However, we will focus on the many who are being persecuted for their faith in countries such as: North Korea, Somalia, Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sudan, Iraq, Iran, Yemen and Eritrea.
Then there are also, not in any particular order: Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, India, Egypt, Malaysia, Central African Republic, Turkey, China, Indonesia, Columbia…and so many, many others.
We may sometimes find ourselves overwhelmed by the sheer immensity of the problems and challenges around us. But fear not, for the LORD God is with us. If we really believe in the power of prayer, then surely we must arise, and by faith and by the power of the Holy Spirit, pray unceasingly for one another and especially for our fellow brothers and sisters in the persecuted church,
that we may all remain rooted in the faith and continue to shine for Him, giving Him all the glory He alone deserves.
